Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Meem (“Meem”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data when asatizah and clients use the platform. By using Meem you agree to this policy.
1. Data we collect
- Asatizah account data: name, email, phone, profile slug, bio, avatar, services and pricing, availability, country, timezone, currency, and (for Singapore) ARS verification details.
- Client booking data: name, email, phone, the service booked, session times, attendee count, and any notes you provide.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we keep references (such as charge, customer, and subscription identifiers) needed to operate bookings, payouts, and refunds.
- Testimonials: public review text and ratings, and private feedback intended only for the relevant asatizah.
- Technical data: standard logs and cookies needed for authentication and to operate the service.
2. How we use data
We use data to provide the platform: to create and display bio pages, to process bookings and payments, to send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reschedules, cancellations, recurring-charge notices), to sync appointments to a connected Google Calendar where enabled, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to operate, secure, and improve Meem.
3. Service providers (processors)
We share data with the providers needed to run Meem:
- Stripe — payments, payouts, and refunds.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivery.
- MailerSend — transactional email delivery.
- Google — sign-in and, if you connect it, two-way calendar sync.
We do not sell personal data. Providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards.
4. Emails
Emails we send are transactional — necessary to deliver a booking or account action. Replies to client booking emails are routed to the relevant asatizah so clients can reach them directly.
5. Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (for example, payment records). You may request deletion of your account data, subject to records we are required to retain.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these, contact us using the details below.
7. Children
Meem accounts are for adults. Where a client books a service for a minor (for example, a child’s lessons), the booking adult is responsible for providing that information and for the minor’s participation.
8. International transfers
Meem is global-ready and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version.
