Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Meem (“Meem”, “we”, “us”), the platform that helps asatizah (Islamic religious professionals) manage their practice online — including link-in-bio pages, bookings, and payments — and that lets clients discover and book their services. By creating an account, listing services, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are and who uses Meem
Meem provides tools to two kinds of users: asatizah (service providers who create an account) and clients (who book and pay for services, typically as guests). Meem is a technology platform — the contract for any service booked is between the client and the asatizah. Meem is not a party to that service and is not a provider of religious, educational, counselling, or other professional services.
2. Accounts
Asatizah sign in via Google or a magic link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for the accuracy of the information, services, and pricing you publish. You must have the right to offer the services you list and, where applicable, hold the relevant credentials. Marketplace listing in Singapore is limited to ARS-verified asatizah; tools are available globally.
3. Bookings
Bookings are confirmed automatically and require upfront payment. By booking, the client agrees to attend at the scheduled time in the asatizah’s timezone. Recurring bookings are billed automatically each cycle until cancelled; unused sessions within a cycle are forfeited. Group sessions are priced per session, not per attendee.
4. Payments and fees
Payments are processed by Stripe. By transacting on Meem you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (asatizah) and Stripe’s terms. The price shown to the client is the listing price. Meem retains a 10% platform fee of each transaction; the asatizah receives the remaining 90% (the “take-home”). Asatizah must complete Stripe onboarding to receive payouts, which are made automatically on a daily schedule to their connected account.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Unless an asatizah’s published policy states otherwise:
- Client cancels 24 hours or more before the session: full refund.
- Client cancels less than 24 hours before: no refund; the asatizah keeps the take-home amount.
- Asatizah cancels (any time): the client receives a full refund.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Meem: no unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful activity; no impersonation; no attempts to circumvent payments or fees; and no content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to publish. We may suspend or remove accounts, listings, or content that breach these Terms.
7. Content
You retain ownership of the content you publish (bio, services, images, testimonials you collect). You grant Meem a licence to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the platform. Testimonials are published only where the reviewer’s public portion is shared; private feedback is shown only to the relevant asatizah.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Meem is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services booked, the conduct of any user, or uninterrupted availability of the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meem is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from the platform is limited to the platform fees we received on the relevant transaction.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date. You may stop using Meem at any time, and we may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
